There are times when you are typing an email meant for your friends or colleagues, but you don’t want them to receive the email until a specific date and time in the future.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way for you to compose an email in the present and then specify a date and time in the future at which it will automatically get sent without any intervention from you?
The flexibility of being able to choose the date and time at which an email gets sent can be quite life changing at least in cyberspace.
- MxHero (mxhero.com/email-tools.html) is a free browser app that is currently available for only Google Chrome users and works with Gmail, Google Apps and Outlook email accounts. Once installed it will allow you to specify a time and date in the future at which an email you are composing will automatically get sent from your email account without you having do anything.
- The next time you are composing a new email message and don’t want to send it out immediately and instead want to send it something in the future and then click on the MxHero button in the bottom menu bar instead of clicking on the Send button.
- In the mxHero app window, select the Send Later option, Specify a date and time in the future at which you want the email to be sent and then click on the Sent button. You can now sit back and relax and watch mxHero do the rest.
- The best part is that when recipient receives the email there is no way for them to tell that you did not send the email at the time and date at which it seems like it was sent.
